PANEL: We Need Confidence In The West | John Anderson, Jacinta Nampijinpa Price, Niall Ferguson
We live in the midst of a shifting geopolitical landscape and, perhaps for the first time in history, a multipolar world. However, while the 'Axis of Ill Will' (as coined by Sir Niall Ferguson) made up of China, Russia, North Korea and Iran seem confident and assured of their convictions, the West by contrast is adrift and without vision.
We have forgotten who we are, and the principles upon which our civilisation and its prosperity was built.
How have we ended up here? And what must we do to rediscover those principles and renew our confidence in them? This is the question we asked our panel at ARC Australia.
